The evidence standard

Every factual claim we make about a casino is graded by where it came from, and the grade is stated in the review.

Tier 1 — the operator’s own terms and conditions. The strongest source. If a casino’s terms name your country in a restricted-jurisdiction clause, that is settled. We cite the clause number.

Tier 2 — the operator’s help centre, or a written answer from the operator. Good, but help centres lag behind terms and are sometimes maintained by support staff rather than compliance.

Tier 3 — a reputable third-party register or list. Used only where Tier 1 and Tier 2 are silent, and labelled as such.

Not a source: other affiliate sites, aggregated top-10 lists, or AI output. We have found third-party lists wrong often enough to stop trusting them. One widely-cited list states that an operator blocks Canadian players; the clause it is reading restricts a game supplier’s titles in Canada, which hides some games from Canadians but does not block the account. Reading it as a country block produces a confidently wrong answer, and a lot of sites have copied it.

Where the tiers conflict, Tier 1 wins and we note the conflict.

Where we say nothing

If we cannot establish something, we leave it blank rather than estimate it. On this site an empty field means “we have not verified this”, never “this does not exist”. Several game pages here have no software provider listed, because we could not establish it and would not guess.

Dates

Every review and every country page carries the date it was last checked. Operator terms change without notice, sometimes weekly, and a casino review with no date is worthless. If a page has not been re-checked in a long time, the date will tell you, and you should treat it with more caution.

Corrections

We publish corrections rather than silently editing.

  • A factual error is corrected as soon as we can verify the correct position, and a dated note is added at the foot of the page saying what was wrong and what it now says.
  • If an error was significant — a wrong withdrawal limit, a wrong country restriction, a wrong licence — the note stays permanently.
  • Typos and formatting we simply fix.

To report an error, use the contact form. Operators are welcome to do this and we would rather hear from them than not. What we need is the document: point us at the clause. “That is out of date” without a source cannot be actioned.

We do not remove accurate criticism on request, from operators or anyone else.

Independence from the commercial side

  • The person writing a review is not the person negotiating the commercial deal.
  • Commission rates are not visible in the review workflow and are not a scoring input.
  • No casino sees a review before it publishes. We do not offer approval, sign-off or preview.
  • A casino cannot buy position in a list, a score, or the removal of a finding.
  • Where an operator relationship has informed a review — a conversation at an event, a direct answer from a compliance team — we say so in the review.

If we ever run paid placement it will be labelled as advertising, visually distinct, and excluded from every ranked list. We do not currently run any.

Authors and accountability

Our editors write under working names, and every author page says so plainly. The reasons are on the About page. What does not change:

  • One name, one person. We do not share a byline across writers.
  • The author of a review is the person who checked its sources.
  • Reviews of the casinos we have the deepest commercial relationships with get a second pair of eyes before publishing.

Use of AI

We use AI tools for research, cross-checking and drafting, and we disclose it rather than hide it.

The hard rule: no factual claim about an operator publishes without a human checking it against a primary source. AI tools are fluent and wrong about licence numbers, restricted countries and withdrawal limits — precisely the facts that cost readers money. Fluency is not verification.

We do not create fictional authors, fabricated biographies, invented credentials, or AI-generated photographs of people who do not exist.

Advertising and links

  • Links to casinos are affiliate links, and are marked up as sponsored links so search engines and readers can tell.
  • We do not accept paid guest posts, paid links, or link insertions into existing articles. We get these requests weekly and decline them.
  • We do not sell backlinks from this domain.

Responsible gambling in our content

  • No review claims or implies that gambling is a way to make money.
  • We do not use language presenting gambling as a solution to a financial problem.
  • Every casino page carries the age restriction and a route to free confidential help appropriate to the reader’s country.
  • We do not target anyone under 18, and we do not advertise on platforms where we cannot age-gate.

Complaints about us

If you think we have breached this policy, say so through the contact form and we will respond. If we got it wrong, we will publish that we did.
