Last updated: 9 October 2026. This page explains what information this website collects when you visit it, why, who it is shared with, and what you can do about it. We have written it to describe what the site actually does, not to cover every possibility.

The short version

  • You can read this site without giving us your name, email address or any account details. There are no user accounts.
  • We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies.
  • We work out which country you are in from your IP address, on our own server, so we do not show you casinos that refuse players where you live. Your IP address is not sent anywhere to do this.
  • When you click a link to a casino, we record the click, and the casino will then collect its own information about you under its own privacy policy.
  • If you use the contact form, we receive what you type into it.

Who we are

This website is Casino Winners Club, at casinowinnersclub.com. For anything to do with your personal information, contact us through the contact form. We publish under working names and do not publish a postal address; the About page explains why.

What we collect and why

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies (usually named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) and processes your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. Google may process this data outside the UK, including in the United States. We use it only in aggregate, to decide what to write and fix. We do not use it to identify you. Google’s own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can block Google Analytics in any browser with Google’s opt-out add-on or a content blocker.

Working out your country

Casinos refuse players from many countries, and some Canadian provinces regulate online gambling themselves. To avoid listing casinos that will not accept you, we look up your IP address against a geolocation database held on our own server. The lookup gives a country, and for Canada a province. Your IP address is not sent to any outside service for this, and we do not store the result against you. If we cannot tell where you are, we show everything with a reminder to check the casino’s terms.

The database is the DB-IP Lite database: IP Geolocation by DB-IP, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.

If you dismiss the “looks like you are in…” bar, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage, under the name cwcGeoBar. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Clicks on casino links

Links to casinos go through our own /go/ addresses. When you click one, our site records the click, including the time, which link was clicked, your IP address, browser details and the page you came from. We use this to see which links are used and to check that the casinos are paying us correctly for the visitors we send. See the Affiliate Disclosure for how that payment works.

Once you arrive at a casino’s website, that casino collects its own information about you, usually including cookies that record you came from us. That is covered by the casino’s privacy policy, not this one. Casinos report back to us under anonymous player references so they can pay us; those reports do not include your name or contact details.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, we receive the name and email address you give and your message, and we use them only to reply. The form is delivered to us by email. We keep messages for as long as we need to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, then delete them.

Sharing buttons

Pages carry share buttons provided by AddToAny. Displaying them loads a small script from AddToAny’s servers, which means AddToAny receives your IP address and browser details. If you use a button to share to a service such as Facebook, Reddit or Pinterest, that service’s own policy applies. AddToAny’s policy is at addtoany.com/privacy.

Author images

Author pictures may be loaded from Gravatar, a service run by Automattic. Loading one sends your IP address and browser details to Gravatar.

Server logs and security

Like every website, our web server keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and to protect it from attack. Our hosting is provided by IONOS. We also keep backups of the website, which may include the data described above, so that the site can be restored if something goes wrong.

Our legal basis

We rely on our legitimate interests in running a useful, secure website and in being paid for the visitors we send to casinos, and in not showing casinos to people they will refuse. For the contact form, we rely on your request for a reply. We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Contact us through the contact form. Because we hold very little that identifies you, we may need you to tell us what to look for, such as the email address you wrote from.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This website is for adults. Gambling is for over-18s only (19+ in most Canadian provinces), and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change how the site handles personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
