Our verdict on Betcoin

Betcoin is one of the older crypto gambling brands. Its own footer dates it to 2013. It runs a crypto-only casino and sportsbook on betcoin.ag. It suits experienced crypto players who want to keep their balance in the coin they deposited, with small minimums ($5 to deposit, $15 to withdraw). It does not suit anyone who wants Canadian dollars, Interac or a clear answer to the question “who am I dealing with?” The biggest catch is that Betcoin’s current terms, updated in June 2026, name no operating company and no licence number. The Curaçao licence reference in its earlier terms has gone, governing law has moved to Anjouan, and the only complaints route left is Betcoin’s own support inbox. That is a material change for a brand of this age, and the rest of the terms give Betcoin wide powers to hold your money.

Checked against Betcoin’s Terms of Service as published in its help centre (last updated 11 June 2026), its help-centre articles, and the previous version of its terms (effective March 2024). Betcoin.ag blocks automated access, so some material comes from an archived copy of Betcoin’s own pages, and we date those where we use them.

Betcoin scores

Scored against the thresholds on how we rate casinos. These are low, and the reasons are in Betcoin’s own terms.

Category Score Why
Paying out 3/10 Any win of 3 BTC or more can be paid at 10% a month for ten months. ID checks come at payout, and the funds are kept if you do not finish them within 45 days. Inactive accounts face a 5% compounding monthly fee. Small crypto withdrawals are quick, but the terms are written to let Betcoin hold money.
Bonus fairness 3/10 The 100% first-deposit bonus up to $5,000 publishes no wagering multiple, max cashout or max bet before you deposit. The terms add that “local wagering requirements may be applied” and that table games do not count at all.
Games 5/10 A casino and sportsbook with NetEnt, NYX (NextGen) and Pragmatic Play content referenced in Betcoin’s own terms and promotions. We could not obtain a full studio list or confirm a live-dealer provider.
Banking 5/10 Fifteen coins held as crypto, low minimums, no casino fees stated. There is no CAD and no Interac, and you cannot switch coins: you withdraw in the coin you deposited.
Trust and licence 2/10 No named operator and no licence number in the current terms. Governing law switched from Curaçao to Anjouan in 2026, external complaint escalation was removed, and liability is capped at €100.

Getting your money out of Betcoin

Withdrawal limits and the instalment clause

Betcoin publishes no daily, weekly or monthly withdrawal cap. It does have this, in Terms of Service 9.6: if you win 3 Bitcoin or more, Betcoin reserves the right to split the payout into ten instalments of 10% a month. A large win can therefore take ten months to reach you. Betcoin pays no interest on amounts it is holding (9.7). The instalment size is stated, which is more than many casinos manage, but the effect is a monthly cap of one-tenth of your win.

Minimums and timing

  • Minimum withdrawal: the equivalent of $15 (about C$21) in whichever coin you use, per Betcoin’s help centre.
  • Before you can withdraw a deposit: it needs at least 4 blockchain confirmations (9.1). A deposit sent with a low network fee can take a couple of hours.
  • Processing: Betcoin’s help centre asks you to contact support if a withdrawal has not arrived within 4 hours. The terms set no processing time.
  • Same coin only: once you deposit in one currency you can only withdraw in that currency, and currency exchange is “strictly forbidden” (3.2).

CAD figures on this page use the Bank of Canada daily rate of 1 USD = 1.4240 CAD for 8 October 2026, rounded. Betcoin quotes USD equivalents only.

Verification

Betcoin can check your identity before any payout and hold the withdrawal while it does (9.10). It can ask for photos, live video or documents to verify location, identity or source of funds (9.12). Any payout above the equivalent of 1 BTC may face additional checks, and so may smaller ones (9.3). Two clauses deserve attention:

  • Same device, same connection. KYC must be completed from the device and connection you used to place your bets (9.10). Travelling or changing internet provider could become a problem.
  • 45-day forfeiture. If a requested location or identity check is not completed within 45 days, “the funds will be retained by Betcoin” (9.13).

Checks come when you ask for money, not at sign-up. Our method treats ID demanded only when you win as the worst pattern, and that is how Betcoin’s terms read.

Holds and deductions

  • If Betcoin suspects abuse, an investigation can take up to 60 days (10.5).
  • If it finds a breach, it can withhold deposited funds “to cover damages, employee time, other resources used” (10.6).
  • If it suspects your account is being used as a mixer or for money laundering, it can impose wagering of at least 5 times the deposit before you withdraw (8.9).
  • Deposits from a wallet that is not yours: winnings confiscated and the deposit returned to the wallet owner (8.2).
  • VPN use can lead to “seizure of account” (2.8.9).

Inactive accounts

The terms contradict themselves. Clause 7.10 says an account with no login or activity for 12 months will be closed and charged a 5% compounding maintenance fee every month. Clause 11.1 says a dormant account’s funds are “archived” until you contact support, that Betcoin can terminate the account and withhold the balance, and that accounts dormant for four years are removed. Under either reading, do not leave money at Betcoin.

The Betcoin welcome bonus, read properly

The most recent copy of Betcoin’s promotions list we could read (April 2026) shows a 100% first-deposit casino bonus up to $5,000 (about C$7,120), claimed by contacting support after you deposit. Betcoin’s help-centre bonus article now only links to the live promotions page, which blocks automated access, so check that the offer is still running.

Term What we found
Headline 100% first-deposit bonus
Match % 100%
Maximum bonus $5,000 (about C$7,120)
Wagering multiple Not published. Terms 9.8 say it “can vary” and is shown when you receive the bonus.
Wagering applies to Not published
Games that count Video poker, all roulette, all blackjack and every other table game count 0% (9.8)
Max cashout Not published
Max bet while wagering Not published
Expiry Not published
Code None. You ask support after depositing.
Early withdrawal Withdraw before wagering is complete and Betcoin deducts the whole bonus and any winnings (9.8)

A $5,000 headline means nothing until you know the wagering multiple and the max cashout, and Betcoin does not tell you either before you deposit. Clause 9.8 also lets it apply “local wagering requirements” and geographical limits at its discretion. Get the full terms of the bonus in writing from support before you accept it. If they will not give them, deposit without the bonus.

Betcoin also advertises a 100% “Level Up” deposit bonus each time you reach a new VIP colour, again claimed through support, with no published wagering.

Banking at Betcoin

Currencies

Betcoin is crypto-only. Clause 3.1 lists BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC, DASH, XRP, USDT, USDC, BNB, DOGE, SHIB, SOL, DAI, TRX and POL. Your balance stays in the coin you deposited, and you carry its price risk. There is no Canadian dollar balance and no Interac.

Deposits

  • Minimum: the equivalent of $5 (about C$7) in your chosen coin (3.3).
  • Speed: funds are usable after one blockchain confirmation, per the help centre. Clause 8.5 says winnings made with unconfirmed funds belong to Betcoin if the deposit fails, and clause 7.8 treats a deposit that has not cleared the blockchain within three hours as fraud.
  • Buying crypto: the help centre mentions a “Buy Crypto” option for players with no coins. We could not see which provider runs it or what it charges.
  • Fees: the terms state no casino deposit or withdrawal fee. You pay network fees, and clause 4.1 makes taxes on winnings your responsibility.

Games at Betcoin

Betcoin runs a casino and a sportsbook. Its own documents confirm some of the content but not a full list:

  • NetEnt: the terms carry NetEnt’s supplier restrictions (2.8), which only make sense if NetEnt games are offered.
  • NYX (NextGen): named in clause 2.7.1, which blocks these games for players from Canada.
  • Pragmatic Play: Betcoin’s promotions list carried Pragmatic’s Drops & Wins network promotion in 2026.
  • Sportsbook: Betcoin ran an NFL confidence pool for the 2025 season, with entry through a qualifying NFL bet.

We could not confirm the number of games, the live-dealer provider or whether Betcoin offers provably fair originals. Ask support, or look at the lobby before depositing.

What is hidden in Canada

Canada appears in Betcoin’s terms only in game-supplier clauses. NYX games are blocked for Canadian players (2.7.1), and NetEnt’s Vikings and Street Fighter slots may not be offered in Canada (2.8.4, 2.8.6). That hides some games. It does not block your account. Reading those clauses as a country ban is a common mistake on review sites.

Licence and ownership

This is where Betcoin has changed most, so here is the history in Betcoin’s own words.

Previous terms (effective March 2024) Current terms (updated 11 June 2026)
Licence named “Dutch Antilles Management N.V.”, licence GLH-OCCHKTW0706262018 None
Operating company Not named Not named
Governing law Curaçao, courts of Curaçao (19.1) Anjouan, Union of Comoros (19.6)
Complaint escalation Curaçao Gaming Authority (16.3) Betcoin’s own support address (16.3)
Restricted list references Curaçao and Dutch Caribbean territories “Anjouan Offshore Financial Authority”

Betcoin’s 2023 site footer also said its casino games were “provided and regulated by Gaming Services Provider, N.V.” under Curaçao licence 365/JAZ. That was a sub-licence under Curaçao’s old master-licence system, which the Curaçao Gaming Authority has been phasing out since November 2023 in favour of direct licences.

We searched for a current Betcoin licence on the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s register and in Anjouan sources and found neither. Betcoin may hold an Anjouan licence it simply does not name. Until it does, we cannot tell you who operates the site, who licenses it or where to complain if support says no.

What that means for you

If Betcoin refuses a withdrawal, the current terms offer no regulator to escalate to. Clause 18.5 caps Betcoin’s liability at €100 “regardless of the cause of actions”. Clause 1.3 lets it amend the terms “with or without notice at any time”. Anjouan licences, where they exist, are among the weakest in the industry. A brand surviving since 2013 counts for something, but its legal footing has got weaker, not stronger.

Playing Betcoin from Canada

Canada is not on Betcoin’s restricted list (2.5), and no province is named. Canadians can register, deposit in crypto and play, with some NYX and NetEnt titles hidden.

  • Ontario: Betcoin does not name Ontario, but no crypto casino can be registered there. AGCO Standard 5.69 requires balances in CAD and bars crypto, and Betcoin is not on the iGaming Ontario register. We do not show it to Ontario readers. Help: ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600.
  • Alberta: regulated since 13 July 2026 under the iGaming Alberta Act, with the AGLC as regulator and Play Alberta as the provincial site. Licensed sites settle in CAD and cannot take crypto. The grey-market transition ended on 13 October 2026 at the latest. We exclude Alberta too. Help: Alberta Problem Gambling Helpline 1-866-332-2322.
  • Elsewhere: crypto in, crypto out, no CAD, no Interac. If you want those, see our Canada page.

Other countries

Betcoin’s current terms exclude residents of the United States (including dependencies, military bases and territories), Australia, Austria, Belarus, France and its territories, Germany, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands and its territories, Russia, Spain, the Union of Comoros, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, all FATF-blacklisted countries and anywhere else the Anjouan authority prohibits.

  • United Kingdom: excluded. Betcoin is not licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and GAMSTOP does not cover it.
  • United States: excluded.
  • New Zealand: not excluded. New Zealand prohibits unlicensed offshore operators from 1 December 2026.

Betcoin FAQ

Is Betcoin licensed?

Its current terms (June 2026) name no licence and no operating company. Earlier terms cited a Curaçao sub-licence, GLH-OCCHKTW0706262018. That reference has been removed and governing law moved to Anjouan. We could not find a current licence on any register.

Does Betcoin accept Canadian players?

Yes. Canada is not restricted. Some NYX and NetEnt games are hidden for Canadians. CWC does not show Betcoin to readers in Ontario or Alberta.

Does Betcoin accept Interac or Canadian dollars?

No. Betcoin is crypto-only, with 15 coins listed in clause 3.1. You withdraw in the coin you deposited.

What is the Betcoin withdrawal limit?

There is no stated monthly cap, but wins of 3 BTC or more can be paid in ten monthly instalments of 10% (9.6). The minimum withdrawal is the equivalent of $15.

How long do Betcoin withdrawals take?

The help centre asks you to contact support if a crypto withdrawal has not arrived within 4 hours. Deposits need 4 confirmations before they can be withdrawn, and payouts can be held for ID checks.

When does Betcoin ask for KYC?

At payout, at Betcoin’s discretion, and especially above 1 BTC. Checks must be done from the device and connection you bet from. If they are not finished within 45 days, Betcoin keeps the funds (9.13).

What is the Betcoin bonus wagering requirement?

Betcoin does not publish it in advance. Clause 9.8 says it varies and is shown when the bonus is credited. Table games and video poker do not count towards it.

What is the minimum deposit at Betcoin?

The equivalent of $5 (about C$7) in any supported coin (3.3).

If you accept those risks, visit Betcoin, and get the full bonus terms from support in writing before you opt in.
