Last checked against the operator’s own terms: 9 October 2026. Casinos change withdrawal limits and bonus terms without notice — always check before you deposit.
The short version
BitStarz is a long-running, multi-currency casino that takes Canadian dollars as well as crypto, has a large slot library with provably fair originals, and states plainly that it charges no withdrawal fees. It suits a Canadian outside Ontario and Alberta who wants to play slots in CAD or crypto and values fast routine cashouts.
It suits high-stakes players less well, and the reason is one sentence in the terms. Clause 8.7.3 says “BitStarz.com reserves the right to payout substantial wins in monthly installments”, and nowhere defines “substantial” or the size of each instalment. Its help centre says “We don’t enforce any limits now” on withdrawals, and for ordinary amounts that appears to be true. For a big win, the terms keep the door open to paying you slowly.
Every figure that circulates online for BitStarz withdrawal limits contradicts the others. The figures on this page come from BitStarz’s own terms and help pages, checked on 9 October 2026.
How BitStarz scores
Five separate scores, using the thresholds on our how we rate page.
| Area | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Paying out | 4/10 | No fixed withdrawal cap and no withdrawal fees, and most cashouts are processed quickly. But clause 8.7.3 allows “substantial wins” to be paid in monthly instalments without stating the instalment size, and our method caps that at 4 whatever else is good. Crypto players are not asked for ID as standard, so checks tend to come at withdrawal time. |
| Bonus fairness | 7/10 | 40x on the bonus only, not on deposit plus bonus, a clearly stated CAD 5 maximum bet and no maximum cashout on deposit bonuses. Held back by a 7-day expiry, 5% weighting on table and live games, and a headline that BitStarz itself states two different ways. |
| Games | 8/10 | A large catalogue, BitStarz Originals with provable fairness, and a long list of studios. Some NetEnt branded slots and all NYX games are withheld from Canadian players under supplier rules written into the terms. |
| Banking | 7/10 | CAD is supported alongside more than ten crypto and fiat currencies, with no withdrawal fees. We could not confirm from BitStarz’s own material that Interac is offered for CAD accounts, some deposit methods carry a 2.5% fee, and bank transfers are paid in euros over 3 to 10 banking days. |
| Trust and licence | 6/10 | Named operator, current Curaçao licence number, dated terms. Against that, Curaçao offers players little recourse, the bonus terms make BitStarz’s decision final in any dispute, and its privacy policy still names a different company and an older licence. |
Getting your money out
Withdrawal limits: what BitStarz actually says
Three separate BitStarz documents bear on this, and they need reading together.
- The help centre (FAQ). To the question “Is there a maximum withdrawal rule I should know about?”, BitStarz answers: “We don’t enforce any limits now.”
- The terms and conditions (last updated 25 June 2025). We found no daily, weekly or monthly withdrawal cap anywhere in the payment policy. Clause 8.7.3 does, however, reserve “the right to payout substantial wins in monthly installments”.
- Clause 8.7.8. When a player wins “a significant amount of money defined according to BitStarz’s own discretion”, the win is verified with the game provider first, so the withdrawal “may take longer than the 10 minute average”.
Our reading: for everyday amounts there is no cap, and BitStarz says so in writing. For a large win, BitStarz has kept the right to spread payment over months, and it decides what counts as large. “Now” in the FAQ also signals that the position can change. The figures quoted on other sites, such as daily caps in Australian dollars, weekly caps of a few thousand, or per-transaction crypto limits, do not appear in the BitStarz documents we read. We have not repeated them.
How long it takes
Clause 8.7.1 says BitStarz “shall try to pay out withdrawals within 1 hour”. Its FAQ claims an average cashout time of 10 minutes and says more than 90% are processed instantly. Bank transfers are different: clause 8.7.7 says they are sent in euros and “in principle processed within three to ten (3 to 10) banking days”, so your bank may charge a conversion fee.
Verification (KYC)
BitStarz’s FAQ says crypto players “will not have to provide documents as a standard”, while fiat players may be asked for them under its licence conditions. If documents are needed, they are requested when you ask to withdraw. BitStarz says it emails within an hour and verifies uploads within 12 hours, usually within one.
The terms allow more than that. Clause 8.6.3 permits a selfie with ID at deposit stage, clause 8.7.4 allows passport, ID card, utility bill and card copies during withdrawal, and clause 8.7.11 allows a phone call, with withdrawals held until the account is verified. Verification that only starts when you withdraw is the pattern most likely to delay a large payout. If you plan to play for meaningful sums, ask support to verify your account before you deposit.
Fees, minimums and the wager-once rule
- Withdrawal fees: clause 8.7.10 says neither BitStarz nor its payment processor charges any. Your bank might.
- Minimum withdrawal: BitStarz points to its payments page for this. That page loads its table from the cashier and we could not read it from our location, so we have not stated a figure.
- Wager once: clause 8.7.5 and clause 9.9 require every deposit to be played through once before it can be withdrawn.
- Same route back: clause 8.7.13 requires withdrawals to go back by the method you deposited with. Deposit in Bitcoin and you withdraw in Bitcoin to the same wallet.
- Card deposits: clause 8.8.2 lets BitStarz return withdrawals to your card as refunds up to the amount you deposited, paying anything above that by another method.

The welcome package, read properly
BitStarz states its headline two ways. Its promotions page describes “€500 or 5BTC + 180 Free Spins”. Its site description says “5 BTC + 200 FS Welcome Package”. The bonus terms describe 180 free spins, so we use 180. The package is spread across the first four deposits. We could not read the per-deposit match percentages from BitStarz’s own pages from our location, so we have not listed them.
BitStarz offers CAD but does not publish a CAD figure for the package on the pages we could read. At the European Central Bank reference rate of 8 October 2026 (1 euro = 1.5953 Canadian dollars), €500 is about CAD 798. The 5 BTC figure applies to Bitcoin depositors and is worth roughly CAD 587,000 at the 9 October 2026 Bitcoin price, which tells you more about Bitcoin than about the bonus.
| Term | What BitStarz’s terms say |
|---|---|
| Headline | €500 (about CAD 798) or 5 BTC, plus 180 free spins, over four deposits |
| Match percentage | We could not verify the per-deposit split |
| Minimum deposit | CAD 20 for a deposit bonus. CAD 40, wagered once within 24 hours, for the free spins |
| Wagering | 40 times the bonus amount |
| Applies to | The bonus only, not deposit plus bonus |
| Maximum cashout | None stated for deposit bonuses. CAD 100 for no-deposit offers |
| Maximum bet while wagering | CAD 5 per round, including bonus buys and double-ups |
| Expiry | 7 days for welcome package bonuses. Free spins must be opened within 1 day and played within 1 day |
| Game weighting | Slots 100%, with exclusions. Table games, video poker, live games and most BitStarz Originals 5% |
| Excluded games | A long list, including Immortal Romance, Mega Moolah, Dead or Alive and all jackpot games |
| Free spins | 20 a day for 9 days. Winnings carry 40x wagering |
| Code | None needed |
What 40x on the bonus means in practice: every CAD 100 of bonus needs CAD 4,000 of slot wagering. Clear it on blackjack or live games, which count at 5%, and the same CAD 100 needs CAD 80,000 of bets. Seven days is not long to do that at a CAD 5 maximum bet: CAD 4,000 at CAD 5 a spin is 800 spins.
Some rules to know before you accept. Clause 25 of the bonus terms says your deposit is locked with the bonus once accepted. You can withdraw the deposit before finishing the wagering, but the bonus and its winnings go (general bonus clause 8). Clause 28 forfeits the bonus if your balance drops below $0.10. Clause 26 says that “In the event of any dispute, the decision of BitStarz will be final.” The bonus terms are dated 1 March 2023.
On registration BitStarz also gives 20 free spins with no deposit. Winnings from those are capped at CAD 100, carry 40x wagering, and cannot be withdrawn until you have deposited at least CAD 20.
Banking
BitStarz’s FAQ lists fiat currencies EUR, NZD, CAD, AUD, NOK, USD, RUB, CNY, PLN, JPY and BRL, and crypto BTC, LTC, BCH, ETH, DOGE and USDT. Its payments page adds Cardano, Binance Coin, Tron and Ripple. Balances stay in the currency you deposited: clause 8.5 says BitStarz offers no conversion or exchange between currencies, and clause 8.6.5 says it does not convert between Bitcoin and fiat. A crypto balance therefore rises and falls with the coin.
- Minimum deposit: €20 or the equivalent, per the FAQ. The bonus terms use CAD 20 for deposit bonuses.
- Maximum deposit: depends on the method and is shown in the cashier (clause 8.6.1).
- Deposit fees: some deposit methods carry a 2.5% fee, per the FAQ.
- Wrong-network crypto: if you send coins to the wrong network, BitStarz will only try to recover amounts over $5,000, charges 0.1 BTC for trying, and requires you to report it within 7 days (clause 8.6.9).
Interac
BitStarz’s terms do mention Interac. Clause 8.7.9 lists it among the e-wallets (“EcoPayz, Interac, Instadebit, IDebit, Mifinity or Muchbetter”) through which players depositing in USD must withdraw. We could not confirm from BitStarz’s own material whether Interac appears in the cashier for a CAD account, because the cashier list did not load from our location. Check the deposit screen after registering and before you commit money.
Games
BitStarz describes its library as more than 6,500 games. Its terms refer to titles from NetEnt, Games Global (Microgaming), Yggdrasil, Belatra and BGaming, and its studio filter names many more, including Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Push Gaming, Red Tiger, Relax Gaming and Evolution. Table games, video poker and live dealer games are all present.
BitStarz Originals are provably fair. The FAQ explains that you can verify each round from within the game, and games from other studios rely on the RNG certification behind its licence.
Games hidden in Canada
The word “Canada” appears in BitStarz’s terms, but in the game-supplier clauses, not the country list. Clause 4.3.3.2 says the NetEnt branded slot Vikings must not be offered in Canada, clause 4.3.3.4 says the same of Street Fighter, and clause 4.5 says “Players from Canada are not eligible to play the games from NYX.” These hide particular games. They do not block Canadian accounts. Clause 4.3 adds that using a VPN to get round a provider’s block “may lead to confiscation of winnings”, so do not try.
Licence and ownership
Clause 1.2 of the terms names the operator as Gareton B.V., registration number 160656, Landhuis Zuikertuin, Zuikertuintjeweg z/n, Willemstad, Curaçao, “duly licensed and regulated by the Curaçao Gaming Authority (license no OGL/2024/165/0185)”. The site footer gives the same company and number.
There is an inconsistency worth knowing about. BitStarz’s privacy policy, last updated in 2022, still says the site is operated by Dama N.V. under an Antillephone licence, 8048/JAZ2020-013. That reflects Curaçao’s old master-licence system, which was replaced in 2024. The terms are the governing document and they name Gareton, so we go with Gareton. But a privacy policy naming a different company is the kind of loose end that matters if you ever need to complain or ask for your data. We could not confirm the licence on the Curaçao regulator’s public register, whose certificate links are token-based.
As for what the licence is worth: Curaçao’s 2024 reforms improved things, but it is still far short of the UK, Malta or Ontario. There is no independent adjudicator BitStarz must accept, and its bonus terms make its own decision final in any dispute. On the positive side, the terms are dated and clause 1.6 says players should be told of changes and asked to consent, with the right to withdraw their balance if they do not.
Playing from Canada
Ontario
BitStarz’s restricted-country list in clause 3.6 does not include Canada or Ontario, and its registration form offers Ontario as a province. In September 2026 we recorded an Ontario restriction at promotion level, worded “not available for players residing in Ontario”. The current bonus terms we read on 9 October do not contain that line, and the promotions page did not load from our location, so we cannot confirm whether it still applies. Either way it was a bonus restriction, not an account block.
That does not make BitStarz an option for Ontario. Ontario’s regulated market requires licensed operators to hold balances in CAD and bans crypto (AGCO Standard 5.69), BitStarz is not registered with iGaming Ontario, and we do not list any casino for Ontario visitors. ConnexOntario is on 1-866-531-2600.
Alberta
Alberta opened a regulated market on 13 July 2026 under the AGLC, with Play Alberta as the province’s own site. Licensed operators settle in CAD and cannot take crypto, and offshore operators had until 13 October 2026 at the latest to leave. BitStarz’s terms do not name Alberta, but it is not licensed there and we do not list casinos for Alberta visitors. The Alberta Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-866-332-2322.
The rest of Canada
Elsewhere in Canada you can register, deposit and withdraw in CAD, minus the NetEnt and NYX titles described above. You are relying on a Curaçao licence, not provincial consumer protection. Our Canada page compares the casinos we cover on CAD and Interac.
Go to BitStarz if you are outside Ontario and Alberta.
Other countries
- Restricted list (clause 3.6): includes the United States, the United Kingdom and its territories, Spain, France and its territories, the Netherlands, Israel, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Russia, Brazil, Curaçao and a long list of other states. Separately, players from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Austria, Kosovo and Finland are excluded from promotions.
- New Zealand: not on the list, and NZD is supported. New Zealand prohibits unlicensed offshore operators from serving New Zealanders from 1 December 2026.
- United Kingdom: restricted in BitStarz’s own terms. BitStarz is not licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and GAMSTOP does not cover it.
- Australia: we do not cover BitStarz for Australian players.
